Desk Duty - Additional Functionality
ISY
Based on another suggestion stone is dealing with, once a LEO is placed on Desk-Duty, send out a short announcement every 5-10 minutes announcing that an LEO is available at XYZ Police Station for the next XYZ Minutes, potentially have this as an interactable button for DHS command to force someone to a desk duty, also stopping them from leaving until the timer runs out, or they are released, as well as allowing optional logging in for desk duty
If DHS place someone is desk-duty, stop logging hours (As we do this as a punishment), if clocked in directly as an leo manually clock hours

I agree with oYouBadx here. I think It would be more useful in the format of the wanted status that is getting implemented. What I mean by this is, this system would only be reliably useful if units were able to see if the civilian was online as they then could attempt to locate that said subject mentioned in the crime report. However as the civilian reports could be issued by anyone and about anything, I think this would be difficult to coordinate. I do agree with this concept idea!

Figz_126: Yeah I agree with you both. Additionally, I was noticing 911 calls going unanswered, just in general over the last couple days. Not all, but some. Maybe this is also an opportunity for Desk Duty individuals to help route 911 calls to officers if Dispatch is not online.

Stone: Yes 100% As I have been on duty recently, a note to add is this: There are so many priorities every other minute, that units have no time to respond to 911 calls. To say this, I try to respond to 911 calls as much as I can but whenever there is a prio, every other minute, DHS pulls every unit to respond. Off-topic here but that is just how it goes.

Figz_126: Thanks for the context! That definitely makes sense why units are not responding. I'm wondering then if we can force a policy change regarding DHS units. If they want to pull, they need to do so from within the CAD moving forward. I'll definitely take this into consideration when talking with Management, because it's important call flows and assignments are driven from CAD, so we can equally have a chance to respond to 911 calls. More info to come - THANK YOU!
